Lita Rossana Ford (also known as Lita Ford is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist who was born in Britain. She was the lead guitarist in The Runaways, a hard-rock group made up of girls from the 1970s. Their punkish music and raunchy lyrics made them not only the attention of rock fans but also from the community. The group wasn't success on the scene in their home country of the United States, it gained huge popularity abroad. After the band split in 1979, Ford started a lucrative solo career in the world of heavy metal. Her first solo release was called 'Dancin' on the Edge which was followed by her album Out for Blood. Ford was unable to achieve any success with either record and remained out of the realm of rock for around an entire decade. The year was 1988, when Ford released her smash album "Lita". The single 'Kiss Me Deadly and the ballad 'Close My Eyes Forever' were both huge hits. However, the success of her career was not last long and after a few years she disappeared. The resurgence of her career came with releases of "Black" in 1995 and "Wicked Wonderland" which came out almost 15 years after. "Time Capsule" was her album "Time Capsule" was released in the year 2016 by her. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
