Lita Rossana Ford She was born in Britain and was an American musician, singer, and songwriter. In the latter part of the 70s, she was a guitarist in the hard rocking all-girl group The Runaways. The band did not enjoy much of a following in The United States. However, their fame grew internationally and especially in Japan. Following the split of the group in 1979, Ford began a successful solo career with heavy metal. Her first solo release was called 'Dancin' on the Edge, followed by her record Out for Blood. Ford went missing for several decades from the world of music following the albums' failure to draw the attention they deserved. The smash hit 'Lita' was released in the year 1989. The hit single 'Kiss Me Deadly' and the ballad 'Close My Eyes Forever' were both big hit songs. However, her success was short-lived and she remained absent from the world of music for several decades. She re-emerged with the release of 'Black in 1995. Then she released 'Wicked wonderland' almost 15 years later. The album "Time Capsule" was released by her in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
