Lita Rossana Ford often referred to as Lita Ford, is a British American singer-songwriter, guitarist and vocalist who played lead guitar in the all-girl hard rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their punkish sound and rebellious lyrics helped them get noticed throughout the world of rock. The group failed to make a significant impact within the United States but earned huge recognition abroad, particularly in Japan. Ford's solo heavy metal career proved successful following the band breakup. After taking vocal lessons she launched her debut solo album, called 'Out for Blood'. This was followed by the release of her second album, 'Dancin' On The Edge'. Both the albums did not have much success, and Ford was largely absent from the world of rock for several years. The singer returned in 1988 with her wildly successful album , 'Lita' which came out in 1988. Kiss Me Deadly was a major hit, along with the ballad Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. However, her success was only brief and after a couple of more years, she disappeared. Then she returned with the release of 'Black in 1995, and then 'Wicked Wonderland' about 15 years later. in 2016, the latest album, 'Time Capsule, was made available. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the award of a Certified Guitar Legend.
