Lita Rossana Ford also known as Lita Ford, as she's popularly known, was an American-born British guitarist and singer who led the women-only hard rock band The Runaways during the late 1970s. The band was never able to The Runaways to become popular in America, but they gained a lot of popularity in other countries, especially Japan. Ford enjoyed a lengthy and successful career as a solo heavy metal performer after the band split up in 1979. She took vocal lessons and released her first solo album , 'Out For Blood' followed by 'Dancin' on the Edge.
