Lita Rossana Ford often referred to as Lita Ford is a British American guitarist vocalist and songwriter who served as the lead guitarist of the all-girl rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their music and their rebellious lyrics made them popular within the world of rock. The group failed to gain a lot of attention in the United States but earned huge recognition abroad, particularly in Japan. Following the split of the group in 1979 Ford embarked upon a successful solo career in the world of heavy metal. However, her popularity was not long-lasting and she vanished from the music industry for a few years. In 1995 she debuted 'Black' and 15 years later 'Wicked Wonderland. The most recent album "Time Capsule" was released in the year 2016. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
