Lita Rossana Ford often referred to as Lita Ford is a British American guitarist vocalist and songwriter who was the lead guitarist of the all-girl rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their music and their rebellious lyrics helped them get noticed within the world of rock. Though the group didn't have much success in the United States, they were hugely popular internationally. It was particularly true in Japan. Ford had a long and successful career as a solo artist after the group split from 1979. She took vocal lessons and recorded her first solo album , 'Out For Blood' then 'Dancin' on the Edge. Ford was unable to achieve any success with either record and remained out of the realm of rock for around an entire decade. The year was 1988, when she released her hit album "Lita". The single 'Kiss Me Deadly as well as the ballad 'Close My Eyes Forever were both huge hit songs. However, the popularity of her career wasn't lasting and over the course of several years she went under the radar. Re-emerging with releases of "Black" which came out in 1995, and "Wicked Wonderland", almost fifteen years later. "Time Capsule" was her album "Time Capsule" was released by her in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
