Lita Rossana Ford is born in the United Kingdom and was an American guitarist, vocalist, and writer. In the latter part of the 70s, she was a lead guitar for the hard-rocking all-girl group The Runaways. The band was never able to The Runaways to become an instant hit in the United States, however they did gain a fair amount of popularity in other countries, especially Japan. Ford enjoyed a lengthy and prosperous career as a solo artist after the group split from 1979. Following vocal training, she launched her debut solo album, 'Out for Blood'. This was followed by the release of her second album, 'Dancin on the Edge'. Both albums failed to receive much success and Ford just vanished from the world of rock for several years. The smash hit album "Lita" was released by Ford in the year 1988. The hit single 'Kiss Me Deadly' and the ballad 'Close My Eyes Forever' were both big success. Unfortunately, her popularity was brief and she disappeared from the world of music for a number of decades. After releasing 'Black, in 1995, as well as 'Wicked Wonderland, 15 years later it was back in the spotlight. The album "Time Capsule" was released by her in 2016. The singer was honored with The Certified Guitar Legend Award by Guitar Player Magazine.
