Lita Rossana Ford or Lita Ford as she is popularly known as was an American born British musician and vocalist who led the female-only hard rock group The Runaways during the late 1970s. It wasn't possible for the band to be popular in America, but they gained a lot of popularity in other countries, especially Japan. Ford embarked on a heavy-metal solo career when the group ended in 1979. She started taking voice lessons and then released her first album "Out For Blood", followed by "Dancin" at the Edge. Ford disappeared for a few decades from the world of music after the two albums didn't receive any attention. Her smashing hit, 'Lita came out in 1989. The single "Kiss Me Deadly" and the ballad "Close My Eyes forever" were big hits. Unfortunately, her popularity was brief and she disappeared from the music industry for a number of decades.
