Lita Rossana Ford was born in Britain and was an American singer, guitarist as well as songwriter. In the late 70s she played as the guitarist in the hard rocking all-girl band The Runaways. Although the band did not have much success in the United States however they became extremely popular internationally. That was the case especially in Japan. The band broke up in 1979, Ford embarked upon a successful solo career in heavy metal. Her debut solo album was called 'Dancin' on the Edge, followed by her album Out for Blood. The album's release Black in 1995 was followed by fifteen year wait for 'Wicked wonderland. The album "Time Capsule" was released by her in 2016. She was awarded The Certified Guitar Legend Award by Guitar Player Magazine.
