Lita Rossana Ford (also also known as Lita Ford) is an British born American guitarist who was as the lead vocalist for The Runaways a female hard rock band in the 70s. The group was admired by their raunchy lyrics and punkish design. The band was not able to gain a lot of attention in their home country of the United States but earned huge popularity overseas especially in Japan. Ford's solo metal career had a great success following the group break-up. She started taking voice lessons followed by her first album "Out For Blood", followed by "Dancin" on the Edge. Ford disappeared from rock for some time after her albums didn't become popular. The smash-hit album "Lita" was made available by Ford in 1988. Both the track "Kiss Me Deadly" and ballad "Close My Eyes Forever" became huge hit songs. The success of her was short lived and for several more years, she disappeared. The resurgence of her career came with release of "Black" which came out in 1995 as well as "Wicked Wonderland" which came out almost 15 years after.
