Lita Rossana Ford is popularly referred to as Lita Ford is a British American singer-songwriter, guitarist and vocalist who served as the lead guitarist in the all-girl hard rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their rock-star sound and raucous lyrics allowed them to be noticed in the rock world. Although the band did not make much progress in America but they enjoyed huge popularity internationally. That was the case especially in Japan. Ford started a metal solo career after the band ended in 1979. Following vocal training, she released her solo debut album, 'Out for Blood'. This was followed by the release of her second album, 'Dancin"On The Edge'. Ford failed to make anything with either of them and remained out of the realm of rock for an entire decade. In 1988, she returned to the music scene by releasing a dazzling album titled 'Lita. Kiss Me Deadly, and Close My Eyes Forever both were huge hits. The success of her was not long-lasting and, for a few more years, she disappeared. In 1995 she debuted "Black," and 15 years later , 'Wicked Wonderland. The album she released most recently "Time Capsule," released in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
