Lisa Olivia Munn grew up in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid was born in Vietnam and is of Chinese roots, but her dad Winston Barrett Munn comes from a Southern family. The couple split at the age of 2 years old. She was raised by her mother and her stepfather, who is an United States Air Force officer. While the family lived throughout the world, her principal place of residence is Tokyo, Japan. In that period, she participated in many local productions of theater and eventually became an Japanese Fashion model. Olivia moved from her home in the United States back to Los Angeles and pursued her dream of becoming an actor. Her acting journey began with a small role. It was then that her acting career gained momentum when she was cast in the role of Mily Acuna in Hawaii's lensed television series Beyond the Break (2006). In 2007 she appeared as Rob Schneider's Receptionist. She hosts "The Daily Nut", "Formula D" and "The Formula D Podcasts" on G4. Since the 2006 television show Beyond the Break, she continues to browse. Additionally, she holds a black belt in taekwondo. At the age of two, old, her mother got married again but this time to an officer of the US Air Force. Despite the fact that the family moved a often, the mother of her child raised her primarily in Tokyo in Japan, where she stayed with the military. She attended the University of Oklahoma where she was a journalism major with minors in Japanese and dramatic art.
