Silk was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. Ilkay Silk was a well-known actress, director and producer who also taught at St. Thomas University. Her parents were Peter an academic with a reputation for excellence. Anna has some of her earliest memories of watching and going to rehearsals of plays.
